Further Requirements
- The Bachelor's degree relevant for admission must have an average grade of at least 5 / unrounded (Swiss grading system 1-6, 6 = max. / 4 = pass)
- Alternatively, holders of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university may submit a current Graduate Record Examinations® General Test (GRE® Test) provided that the results in the areas of 'Quantitative Reasoning' and 'Analytical Writing' are at least among the 30% best.
- In the case of Bachelor's degrees that do not have a grade or a grade point average, the Equivalence of the grade to the grade average of at least 5 / unrounded (Swiss grading system 1–6, 6 = max. / 4 = pass) is verified by the Examination Board.

Deadlines for Application
- The regular deadline for applications for the fall semester is April 30
- Late applications can be considerered until July 31st at a cost of CHF 150.00 for candidates with a Bachelor's degree from a Swiss higher education institution. More details on late applications can be found under the link for applications above.
- The regular deadline for applications for the spring semester is November 30

How to Attend Lectures in Bern (If Enrolled in Basel)
In order to attend lectures in Bern, students have to follow these steps:
- Students enrolled at the University of Basel register for exams (only, registration for classes usually not mandatory) in Bern via the online tool CTS (KSL). They have usually already received their campus account login from the University of Bern.
- There is not really an English User Guide for CTS (KSL) available yet; but under support on the above-mentioned website, there are several possibilities.
- Detailed information about the new system can be found here.
- The grades will be transferred directly from the University of Bern to the University of Basel.
